Hobby Bikers and Elite Sprinters meet at the VAUDE Hill Climb in Brixen im Thale
Pitch yourself against the top mountain sprinters, with the best bikers in the Tyrol. At the Brixen Hill Climb there is a chance to experience the olympic motto: "Taking part is everything!"
The team events are particularly interesting, with all members of the team's time being counted in the final result. Once again in 2012 the Hill Climb Brixen im Thale is an open race.
The Hill Climb programme is diverse. The races start at 18.00 from the village centre of Brixen im Thale. This race with a colourful summer festival is the opening event of the 5 day KitzAlpBike-Festival.
The Brixen Hill Climb is one of the most popular and successful mountain races in Austria. Some 300 participants battle it out in 15 categories, up the Salvenberg to the magical Filzamlsee.
The Hill Climb course is not particularly long at 6 km. However some 500 m altitude must be scaled over this distance - a challenge that pushes even experienced riders to the limits!
