Respect is a must and this is a race only for the toughest of athletes. Highly technical trails, speedy downhill rides and unholy sections of the route are what make the KitzAlpBike-Marathon one of the most extreme mountain bike races in Europe. The 2013 World Champion will be decided on this course!

The direction of the course in brief:
Start in the centre of Kirchberg - cycle path to Brixen (past the swimming pool), then left -climb via the Kandleralm to Choralpe - continue on the official MTB track (route no. 209 and 210) to Brechhornhaus and on to Wiegalm - descend on the single trail to Rettenbach - take the cycle path to Kirchberg as far as Seislboden - turn off to the right - cross the main road and continue via Obwiesen - Grilling - Röhrermoos - Wötzing - refreshments at Hack - from here: climb via the Fleckalm to Ehrenbachhöhe - continuing on the walking path towards the Hahnenkamm - turn off to the right - descent via Melkalm - Ehrenbachtrail to Einsiedelei and from here: climb via von Seidlalmsee - Steilhang - Mausefalle - Hocheck to Hahnenkamm - continuing on: the road via Ehrenbachhöhe - Jufen to the Pengelstein - descend as far as Hiesleggalm - on to: follow the high altitude trail to Rackstattalm and via the Oberen Grundweg to Aschau - follow the cycle path to Skirast - turn right - climb to Ochsalm and on to Ehrenbachhöhe - Hahnenkamm and downhill to Niedere Streifalm - past the Staudachstube towards the finish line at Klausen.
